Ljubica Glavaš-Obrovac, redovita profesorica u trajnom zvanju. Docenti: doc.dr. sc. Stana Tokić,  doc.dr. sc. Katarina Mišković Špoljarić i doc.dr.sc. Barbara  Viljetić. Docenti u dopunskom radnom odnosu: doc.dr. sc. Saška Marczi i doc.dr.sc.Vatroslav Šerić. Viša asistentica  dr.sc. Teuta Opačak-Bernardi, asistentica-znanstvena novakinja -  Marijana Jukić, mag.biol., asistentice u dopunskom radnom odnosu Jasna Pavela, mag.med.biochem. i  Marija Milić, mag.med.biochem,  kao i viša tehničarka Ivana Jelavić, mag.med.lab.diagn. i tehničarka – Aleta Bukvić, kem. tehničar

Katedra izvodi nastavu na studijskim programima Medicinskog fakulteta Osijek iz kolegija: Medicinska kemija i biokemija 1, Medicinska kemija i biokemija 2; Interakcija hrane i gena, Vitamini i minerali u zdravlju i bolesti, Život stanice; Kemija, Biokemija, Instrumentalne mjerne tehnike i uređaji, Hematologija, Hematologija s laboratorijskim tehnikama, Klinička biokemija 1, Klinička biokemija 2, Klinička biokemija s laboratorijskim tehnologijama 1,  Klinička biokemija s laboratorijskim tehnologijama 2, Eksperimentalne metode u biomedicini I i II, Toksikološka kemija, Kultura stanica u biomedicinskim istraživanjima, Klinička hematologija, Molekularna genetika i molekularni mehanizmi, Kontrola i osiguranje kvalitete u biomedicinskom laboratoriju, Laboratorijske tehnologije u kliničkoj biokemiji, Kliničko-toksikološke analize, Oksidacijski stres i slobodni radikali – mehanizmi djelovanja, Laboratorijska dijagnostika u forenzičkoj medicini, Osnove medicinske kemije i biokemije, Kultura stanica u biomedicinskim istraživanjima, Tehnologija rekombinantne DNA i Apoptoza.

Znanstveno-istraživači rad: Članovi Katedre su izuzetno uspješni u znanstveno-istraživačkom radu u područjima biomedicine i zdravstva i prirodnih znanosti. Bave se fenotipskim profiliranjem i ispitivanjem protutumorskih učinaka novih spojeva, istraživanjem genetske podloge autoimunih bolesti štitnjače, kao i bolesti povezane s polimorfizmima sustava HLA. Nadalje, istražuju ulogu lipidnih splavi i glikokonjugata u razvoju i regeneraciji živčanog sustava, patofiziologiju migrene, učinke pulsatilnosti na središnji živčani sustav i molekularnom podlogom suicidalnog ponašanja.

DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY AND CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
The Department of Medical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry was established and started its work with the foundation of Faculty of Medicine in December of 1998. Professor Gordan Lauc was a Head of the Department from 1998 to 2009. Since 2010 Professor Ljubica Glavaš-Obrovac is the President of the Department.
Within the Department are two laboratories, Laboratory for DNA analysis and Laboratory of Tissue Culture and Functional Genomics.  These laboratories are used for scientific research in biomolecular sciences, to analyze DNA for identification of war victims, for diagnostic testing, but also the place of training students and experts in cell culture and molecular diagnostics, as well as in the field of forensics and analysis of human remains.

Today members of the Department are: Professor Ljubica Glavaš-Obrovac, PhD full professor with tenure.
